Trump International New York

Trump International New York is a typical classic luxury hotel with everything that is expected from such. The location is probably the best in New York, at the start of Central Park you are close to everything, especially if you enjoy the park and museums: Metropolitan Museum, MoMA, Natural History Museum and Guggenheim are all within walking distance. At the same time the hotel location is much calmer than in the middle of Manhattan.

Trump International New York has very reasonably priced family suites, most central hotels in Manhattan only have regular rooms or very expensive suites, making Trump International New York a great option if you are a family or group. The room standard is top notch, the interior design is classical and at the same time you have modern technology, great lighting, great AC/heating, great blackout curtains. While not soundproof, the hotel has done a great job sound-dampening the rooms. Despite the central location you will only hear occasional sirens which is unavoidable in Manhattan (we recommend a high floor both for view and noise reduction). If you are allergic or sensitive to smoke, the hotel has also done an outstanding job, no odors were detected in the hotel or the room.

The Executive One-Bedroom Suite with Park View rooms are spacious and can accommodate 6 persons. One large bedroom, one living room with a sofa bed and you can request an extra bed. The beds were of good quality, firm without being hard. Two bathrooms, one bathtub with shower. Plenty of toiletries and an abundance of towels. The suite has a walk-in closet for storage, with plenty of hangers and an iron and ironing board. The suite also has a complete kitchen with a big fridge, coffee machine etc and the staff will of course take care of the dishes. The room cleaning was great and the hotel has a tuck-in service at which time you can decide yourself.

The hotel has a great gym open 24 hours. While you don't stay at this hotel for the spa, the hotel also has a spa and a saltwater pool. The saltwater pool is a very nice touch since you won't get the chlorine smell from a regular pool. The hotel has 17 floors (again we recommend that you ask for a high floor), the floors above are residences that have a separate entrance.

Next to the lobby there are two restaurants, Jean-Georges with 2 Michelin stars and the slightly more casual Nougatine. In Nougatine you can also have à la carte breakfast. However, when it comes to breakfast there is a great Whole Foods store just across the street, so we would recommend that you buy high quality food there and enjoy your breakfast in the hotel room with a view over Central Park and 8th Avenue. Furthermore just across the street you have two additional 3-star Michelin restaurants Masa and Per Se. You can also reserve a private chef and have a gourmet meal course in your own suite.

The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. All in all we strongly recommend Trump International New York.
